Having trouble logging in or accessing dashboards? This article covers the most common issues, how to fix them quickly, and when to contact your system administrator.
Login Problems
| Issue | Fix |
|---|---|
| Invalid email or password | Check for typos, turn off Caps Lock, remove extra spaces. |
| Account locked | After 5 failed attempts, your account locks for 30 minutes. Wait or use Trouble Signing In. |
| Browser not supported | LotWorks works best on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge (latest version). |
No Dashboards Available
You’ve logged in, but nothing appears on the dashboard list.
Make sure you're using the same email tied to your LotWorks user profile.
You can see your signed-in email at the top of the page.
Contact your LotWorks administrator to confirm you were added correctly.
Use one email address across all communities to avoid account-switching issues.
Don’t See a Specific Dashboard?
If most dashboards are visible but one is missing:
Confirm access with your LotWorks system administrator.
Double-check you're logging in with the correct email.
Refresh your browser.
Clear browser cache + cookies if the dashboard still doesn’t appear.
Don’t See a Specific Role?
If the dashboard appears but your role or permissions seem wrong:
Your role appears next to each dashboard on the selector screen.
If features are missing, contact your administrator to confirm your assigned role.
If you have multiple roles across systems, use Switch User (top-right icon) to return to the dashboard selector.
Shared / Group Accounts
Some teams historically used shared emails (ex. community@builder.com) so an entire showhome or design team could sign in together.
Should you still use shared accounts?
Individual accounts are strongly recommended because they allow:
Accurate activity tracking
Easier access onboarding/offboarding
Cross-community access for users
Better email-based support
If you must use a shared account, make sure to:
Create individual user profiles under it so activity is tracked properly.
Update the password whenever someone leaves the team.
Coordinate as a group to keep the shared password secure.
Note: Shared accounts will not appear in a user’s dashboard view if they are currently logged in under their personal LotWorks Account.
