If you've forgotten your password, or need to change it, you can click the "Trouble Signing In" link after entering your email address on the sign in page. An email will be sent to your verified email address, allowing you to reset your password.
Your Land Developer and Blueprint do not know, and cannot reset, your password.
With LotWorks Account, users can log in to LotWorks from a single login portal, and access all dashboards to which they have been assigned. With this level of access, it is vitally important that good password practices are followed.
Please follow these simple password "best practices".
To minimize the risk of your account being accessed without permission, please follow these simple password 'best practices'. These simple and easy-to-follow instructions will help keep your data safe:
Use Long Passphrases
Its recommended to use long passphrases as these are easy to remember but difficult for computers to crack. The popular web comic XKCD compared the strength of a complex password—”Tr0ub4dor&3”—and a long passphrase—“correct horse battery staple” and found that it took only 3 days to guess the password, while the phrase would take 550+ years to crack.
The Big "DO NOT"s of Passwords
- Do not use your email address for your password,
- Do not use easily guessed passwords (ex. "password", "admin", "guest", "user", "1234"),
- Do not choose passwords based on personal details (birth date, phone number, family names), and
- Do not use words commonly found in the dictionary.
Protect Admin Accounts
The accounts of admin users can allow access to sensitive data and other privileged actions. Please limit access to these user groups and keep the login information secure.
Regular Employee Training & Review
Nearly 41 percent of company data leaks occurred because of careless or untrained workers.
Regular employee training in the use of LotWorks systems will reduce the risk of unintended access or actions being taken.
In an industry where users may end up working for their competition, it's important to periodically review and update employee access to Blueprint systems.
